Karadi is a place for Aboriginal Women and families and Community members. 

It provides community care services, a resource centre and works for the promotion and empowerment of Aboriginal women and their familes.
 
Karadi creates an environment that promotes growth and enhances our well-being through learning and growing together at the grass roots level with the Community.

Women's Karadi Aboriginal Corporation was established in 1989 to create a separate women's space that allowed for activities that although could be perceived as just 'arty farty' had an underlying objective, ie. to increase self esteem, promote health and other issues.

Over the years, the changes to program delivery have been many, but the pupose of Karadi has not changed. That is to:

 
* Help Aboriginal women's needs and aspirations
* Be an Indigenous specific organisation
* Assist in the promotion of Health and Aboriginal Community relations
* Continue to advocate and promote Women's issues within the Aboriginal and Wider Community


Karadi is based in Goodwood (Tasmania) and is governed by a seven-member committee employing 12 staff.
